Deposit system in Poland
Pursuant to the Act of July 13, 2023 amending the Law on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management and certain other laws (Journal of Laws 2023, item 1852), a deposit system will take effect in Poland on January 1, 2025.
A returnable deposit will be charged on packaging to be returned, which the customer can recover by recycling the packaging at a collection point. This is aimed at raising environmental awareness and protecting the environment as a result of reducing packaging waste and reusing it.
