Reverse vending machines for the Polish deposit system
Poland's deposit system has been live since October 2025 and the grace period is over. Producers must prove a 77% collection rate or pay a product fee on every kilogram short. EcoVend machines, delivered, installed and serviced by ROLV Group.

Five machines, one clear ladder
All five take PET bottles and drink cans up to 3 litres, recognise every container by barcode, shape, material and weight, compact it on the spot and report to the EcoVend online management platform. RVM 200
The smallest footprint in the range, just over one square metre. Sorts PET and cans into two bins or collects them in one, and compacts both.
Best for small shops, offices and sites where floor space is tight.

Common to all five
Recognition by barcode, shape, material and weight, with fraud protection against containers pulled back on a string. Containers up to 3 litres. Standard 220-230 V single-phase supply. Ethernet, Wi-Fi or a 4G/5G SIM. Works from -10 to +40 C, indoors or outdoors under cover; for open sites EcoVend makes an enclosed, ventilated shelter with power, data, CCTV and lighting built in. Refunds as vouchers, digital credits or mobile payments. Online management platform with live machine status, full-bin and fault alerts, and transaction and reject reports with a photo of each rejected item. Two preventive maintenance visits a year recommended. CE, RoHS and ISO 9001.
Three questions decide it
1. Does glass need its own channel?
If yes, the choice is between the 1450-X and the 2000-X. The other three take PET bottles and cans only.
2. How often can staff empty it?
The 200 holds up to 250 PET bottles, the 400-X up to 1000 and the 2000-X up to 1150. On a busy site a small machine means someone walking to it all day, so size it for peak hours, not the daily average.
3. Is the limit space or queues?
Footprints run from 1.06 m2 for the 200 to 2.30 m2 for the 2000-X. If queues are the problem rather than space, the X models take 30 containers a minute against 12 for the 200 and 400.

The deposit system in Poland, as it stands now
Poland's nationwide deposit system has been operating since October 2025, introduced under the Act of 13 July 2023 amending the law on packaging and packaging waste management.
The grace period is over: participating producers now place only deposit-bearing packaging on the market, and the range of covered packaging keeps widening. A producer who cannot demonstrate a 77% collection rate for bottles and cans pays a product fee of 1 zloty for every missing kilogram, and where the rate is missed that fee is split evenly with the system operator. A producer who never signed an operator agreement pays triple, 3 zloty per kilogram. The 77% rate holds through 2028 and rises to 90% from 2029.
Machines are also changing how they pay out: refunds increasingly go straight to a card or phone instead of a printed coupon. Manual collection remains a legitimate route, and is what most small and medium-format stores still use, which is precisely where a compact machine changes the economics.
